Position Skills Needed
Servers Our customers are why we're in business, and our servers must provide them with a genuinely enjoyable experience in order to earn their repeat business.  To do this, we look for people with outstanding skills in these areas:
  • Customer Service (courtesy, patience, problem solving)
  • Memory and ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Knowledge of our menu offerings
  • Accurate cash handling
  • Team spirit
  • Pleasant presentation skills
Bartenders Visitors to our bar deserve courteous, prompt service while they enjoy their time with friends and family over a few drinks.  Tending bar is much more than pouring those drinks, but excelling in these areas as well:
  • Customer Service (courtesy, patience, problem solving)
  • Memory and ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Knowledge of drink mixing and different drinks.
  • Resourcefulness for special requests.
  • Accurate cash handling.
  • Team Spirit
  • Pleasant presentation skills.
Host Persons The customer's first impression is made by the restaurant's physical appearance, the smell of outstanding food, and other factors.  None, however is as important as the few moments that are spent with our hosts.  For those moments you are the restaurant and represent the entire team.   You'll need skills in:
  • Maintaining good spirits even during demanding, busy moments.
  • Coordinating seating arrangements.
  • Handling special requests from customers.
  • Telephone skills.
  • Logistical skills and the ability to solve problems.
Bus Persons The presentation of our restaurant, and the availability of tables are items that make a strong impression on our customers.  We depend on our bus persons to provide the backup support that our servers need and keep the restaurant moving.  We look for high-energy staff with skills in:
  • Teamwork
  • Helpfulness and resourcefulness
  • Organization and prioritization
  • Working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Bar Backs Supporting a busy bar area is a big job.  We depend on bar backs to provide much of the supply and provide a backup to the bartender.  As a bar back you'll need to:
  • Be team motivated.
  • Remain Flexible in assignments.
  • Work with customers.
  • Stay organized.
Cooks Clearly there's a direct connection with the skills of our cooks and the customer's experience.  Our cooking must take place in a well-organized and efficient environment to keep a hungry restaurant full of customers happy.  You'll need to have these skills:
  • Mastery of all areas of cooking, including grill, sauté, fryer, and more.
  • Knowledge of pantry and supply systems.
  • Participation in prep-work for the day's needs.
  • Respect and teamwork-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work accurately under time pressure.
Prep Cook We're proud of our recipes and have refined them to give our customers the tasteful, well prepared food they demand from a fine restaurant.  The start of this falls to the prep cook.  You'll need the ability to:
  • Follow our recipes exactly.
  • Prepare food for cooking.
  • Manage supply resources.
Dishwasher Cleanliness of the restaurant and the tableware are your primary duties in this high-energy position.  You'll be called on for a variety of work, and things will never remain routine.  Your skills will be needed for:
  • Dishwashing using dishwashing machines.
  • Cleaning duties
  • Daytime Prep work.
  • Other tasks as needed.
